Shisas shade

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Natalie Schwoerer

During one of my daughters days off of school during spring break we decided to go to a local shisa painting house here in Okinawa Japan. It was part of our mommy and daughter day. We each picked a shisa, (hers the girl mine the boy), to make the set and painted them together. I had both my Nikon D300s and my Nikon D80 film camera with me that day. This shot was of a hanging wall shisa underneath a farmers sun hat. It is one of my favorite from that day!

Location: Yomitan villiage - Okinawa, Japan
