Swan in the dusk

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Weixin Shen

I was walking on the path around the lake (actualy it's part of The Baltic Sea in downtown) when I found this lonely swan in the evening shadows. I rapidly took up my camera and made a shot. I heard the shutter reacting with a very slow speed because my camera was still set on mode A. It was a 2 second exposure and the VR function really help a little, but I knew it's a failed shot. So I set up my camera on the tripod and made a few more shots. When I went back home, I unexpectedly found this first shot without tripod was the best on my screen, not sharp but has a nice feeling, like a dream.
