Volcanic Glow at Night
Category: Sense of Place

I'd been travelling in Central America and playing around with taking shots of the stars on clear nights. On an overnight hike up Telica Volcano in Nicaragua one of my friends suggested trying to capture the glow from the (active) volcano crater as well as the stars. I asked him and his girlfriend to stand at the rim. I love how the shot not only captured the red glow from the lava below and the stars, but with the couple holding hands and an other-worldly whitish glow above the volcano it almost suggests a divine moment.
Location: Telica Volcano, Nicaragua
