The Unforgotten in The City of the Dead

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Jason Schulz

Taken in the City of the Dead in the greater Cairo area, this chair was sitting in the courtyard of a poor family who found shelter amongst the tombs in the cemetery, better known as The City of the Dead, as do many other families living in abject poverty. Our mission team from Bel Air Presbyterian church in California traveled to Egypt to visit orphans, the disabled and the poverty stricken along side of our partner church in Cairo. The City of the Dead was one of the targets where we brought aid so as to share the love of God.

Location: The City of the Dead. Cairo, Egypt
