Vessels of Freedom

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Tracy Kowatch Koren

These boats with the city in the background prompted me to think of imprisonment since they are chained up out of the water. When I think of boats, I think of them as vessels of freedom and they should be seen in the vast open space of an ocean. I feel that the city is infringing on this in the background and the chains are symbolic of all of this.
