The photograph is taken on a clear Stockholm night in mid march 2012. It is part of my slowly evolving project of scenic night photographs around Sweden. The vessel in the image goes by the name af Chapman and was built in England 1888 and eventually found its way to the Swedish navy in 1923. It has been serving as a popular youth hostel since. Starbord is facing the culturally historical area of Skeppsholmen while Södermalm district is encircling the stern. The late winter ice of march helped capture the light from the surrounding city centre of Stockholm.
Location: Södra Blasieholmskajen, Stockholm Sweden
