Pysanky designs hold many symbolic meanings for Ukrainians and vary by region. The craft of decorating eggs is an ancient Slavonic art. Designs are drawn in wax on the eggshells and then dyed repeatedly until a complex pattern is developed. These pysanky were on display on cloths called a "rushnik" at a Folk Festival in the village of Severynivka, Ukraine.
Location: Severynivka, Ukraine
