Light over Lake Ashi

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Paul Lee

Lake Ashi, a crater lake on Mount Hakone. Beautiful rays of sunlight piercing through the clouds, illuminating the already beautiful lake. The clouds, though they open up just enough for the light to peep through, remains stubbornly closed, denying us a glimpse of Mt. Fuji in the background.

Location: Lake Ashi, Hakone, Japan
