Papa Eagle Ready For Take off!

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Hollie Holden

Our region was very blessed to have a pair of bald eagles nest in our area. They were nearly extinct and for over fifty years they haven't been in the region. This whole adventure started in the very early spring of 2012. It caused quite the excitement and media frenzy. This pair of eagles picked the best spot ever. A protected sight that was under survelliance, but still could be viewed from the country roadside. I had the honor to photograph this wonderful pair for about four months, and watch them raise their one baby very successfully.

Location: Port Colborne, Ontario Canada
