Another Spectacular Sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Rich Briggs

Watching the sunrise at Mesa Arch is one of my most favorite experiences. When the sun first rises above the horizon and lights up the canyon wall below the arch it reflects up causing the bottom of the arch to glow red. The sunrise, the arch and the surrounding scenery make for a spectacular sight. If you go there to photograph the sunrise, you will probably not be alone, this is a well known and popular photo opportunity. I have met people from all over the world when photographing the sunrise at Mesa Arch.

Location: Located in the Island in the Sky District of Canonlands National Park
