Waterfall in the forest, Halmahera Island
Category: Outdoor Scenes

In an area that has seen few visitors since the end of World War II, a short trip up a nearby river is a verdant waterfall in the coastal forest of Halmahera Island in Pacific Indonesia. Our surfEXPLORE group took a break from surfing and our quest to find gasoline to visit the falls, where Orang Asli indigenous people are frequently sighted.
Location: North Maluku Province, Indonesia
