Bora Bora

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by paul steinmetz

The Bora Bora lagoon is quite large. We were on a full day sail around the lagoon when we decided to stop for lunch. From the beach on one of the Motu's I took this picture, the clouds, water color and angle of the blown off caldera all seemed to blend in. It almost looks like you are looking at a three dimension picture because of the depth of field from the front of the caldera in line with the rear, yet they are 1000' away.

Location: French Polynesia
