Photo and caption by Sybrand Treffers

Traveling to Portugal? The city of Porto is one of the more interesting cities to go to. Located along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal, it is one of the oldest European centres, and registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Ofcoure Portugal is internationally famous for its port wine, named for Porto, and shipped from here. Often Porto is mentioned as Cidade Invicta (Invincible City) and Capital do Norte (The Capital of the North). But also as Cidade das Pontes (City of Bridges), This photo shows why.

Location: Porto, Portugal
