Historical Old Tehri Town of Tehri Garhwal District in Uttarakhand state of India is burried under the reservoir of Asia's highest Rockfill Hydro Project, the famous Tehri Dam.The ruins of civilisation can be seen here once the water level is low in summers, depicting the irony of modern development where a lively town and hundreds of its villages got submerged under this deep blue lake in the catchment area of the Dam which has now become a tourist spot of its kind.

Location: Tehri Dam Lake, Tehri Garhwal District, Uttarakhand, India
