Hope for Haiti

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Annabeth Garrett

Through Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at Clemson University, I was part of a volunteer team that worked with Samaritan's Purse in Haiti. One day we were escorted by our guide to a mountain side village, and I started quickly snapping shots as the sun was fading only to turn around and accidently snap a picture of this beautiful little girl. I believe that this photograph truly captures the essence of Haiti, and symbolizes the future and hope for this nation as they continue to rebuild from the devastating earthquake two years ago.

Location: Léogâne, Haiti
