This photo was taken at The Holler, Madrid's outdoor local hang-out. Everything closes at 5pm each day. When finding out that everything closes so early, I asked one of the locals why. He said, "Oh, it's been a long day!" I asked, "What time do you open?" His response? "We're open from 11 to 5... that's a long day!" The dog on the man's lap was described (by his owner)as "a cross between a skunk and a toilet brush!" Everything about this cool out-of-the-way place is funky. It's located about one hour southeast of Santa Fe. A definite must-see - just get there before 5pm and after 11am!
