The Woman From Tibet

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by arvind Bhatnagar

Time had forever etched lines on this woman's face, who had travelled on foot from Tibet to India on the Sikkim side to visit the buddhist monasteries. A shy person who allowed me to take this picture after great persuasion. Pictures they say rob a piece of one's aura and hence not permitted in some tribes.

Location: Somewhere near Gangtok in state of Sikkim India
