Langa Child

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Langa Township/Cape Town, has a reported population of 150,000 people with the highest levels of HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Although extreme poverty confronts you at every corner, the township is rich in examples of ingenuity, colour and creative - often remarkable - illustrations of basic survival. I was fortunate enough to share this intimate gaze with a child whose life is less than uncertain.

Location: Langa, Cape Town
