These Bushmen showed me some of the secrets of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. How to find drinking water in spiny plants, trap birds with twine and tree branches, make fire with sticks. Did their ancestors really discover it? Once the campfire was blazing they played this game of bluff with hand signals and laughter, a Kalahari version of paper, scissors and stone.
