A line of supercell storms form after dark near Miles City Montana. Lit by lightning the detail of the shelf cloud are visible with a great array of color. The blues are believed to be from light refracted by the hail. Whilst fleeing I was hit by extremely strong outflow winds in the region of 60+ mph making it hard to stay on the road. An 81 second exposure. Miles City, Montana June 8th 2012.
