Shooting Fireworks

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Terri Brentnall

Shooting conditions on July 4th, 2012, were very bad. It was raining, with gusty wind and lightning out on the pier where the fireworks were being launched. I had my camera on a tripod, my left hand was clutching the spines of an umbrella to keep the camera dry, while releasing the shutter with the other hand. I managed to capture this image exactly the way I imagined it.

Location: White Street pier, Key West, Florida, USA
