The secret tunnel

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Salil Rajwade

My mother and I were visiting the Amer Palace (or Amber Palace) in Jaipur India, when we were given special access to a part of the attraction that is normally closed to the public (thanks to an old family friend). The photograph is of part of a tunnel, which served as an escape route for the palace inhabitants in case of an emergency. As my mother was walking through it, I couldn't help but notice the light and the setting, and decided to see how my Sony w810i camera could capture the moment.

Location: Amer Palace, Jaipur, India
