Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Liliana Chavira

Most Tarahumaras live in the "Sierras" of South Chihuahua State in Mexico. They usually celebrate "The Tesgüinada" during Holy Week. While men hold a special rite drinking a special drink called Tesgüino and hit drums to frighten evil, women gather and observe their men carefully for about 2 days.

Location: Creel, Chihuahua Mexico
