First touch to photography

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by kenrick wong

During the journey, we gave children paper-made view finders and film cameras to observe and capture a park in Auroville. The children enjoyed a lot and I believed many of them were their first time of using a camera. This small act aimed to let the children from shelter school, who had been abused and discriminated in the past, record, re-observe and then re-connect the surrounding community. The photos printed were given back to the children.

Location: Auroville, Pondicherry, India
