Just another llama

Category: Spontaneous Moments

I was on vacation with my family, traveling from Arequipa to the Colca Valley, in the altiplano of southern Peru. After the initial excitement of seeing alpacas, llamas and vicuñas in their natural habitat, llamas in particular became a common feature of the landscape, hardly calling our attention anymore. But then this pack of domesticated llamas appeared as if from nowhere on top of this slope, and I saw an opportunity for a nice picture.

Location: Somewhere on the Colca Valley plateau, Peru
