Living on the Edge

Category: Sense of Place

This Marine Iguana seemed to own this rock. It embodies what the Galapagos Islands means- total isolation and specific adaptation to one's environment. The Iguanas' spiky dorsal fins are somewhat tattered through years of battling sea and land. Yet his demeanor is not one of hardship, but one of knowing secrets that very few creatures on this planet will ever experience.

Location: Galapagos Islands, South America
