Venetian Reflections

Category: Sense of Place

First night in Venice. As I was walking in the labyrinth of the narrow streets, I've been instantly fascinated by this view: the colors of the lights and their perfect reflection in the dark water, the contrast between the elegant curves on the right side and the rough old walls on the left and, more generally, by the whole atmosphere of this scene. I thought I would see many other similar views later during the trip, but it has never happened again, even the next days at the same place: the light had changed.

Location: Venice, Italy, Europe
