I was snorkelling on a quiet beach of the beautiful Lord Howe Island in Australia when I saw a slowly moving shape in the distance. I swam closer and came face to face with a green turtle. It didn’t get scared and we swam next to each other for a while. It got so close to shore that I could have stood up. The sun light was coming through the water and shining on the turtle’s shell, it was beautiful. Suddenly I saw it was coming up for air and dive down to take a picture of it rising into the light
