Bairro Alto

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Sofia Verzbolovskis

A woman walks underneath succulents, which hang from almost every other window in the neighborhood of Bairro Alto. There were many things that caught my eye while strolling around little streets in Lisboa: the beautifully intricate Portuguese tiles, the street art and graffiti, and these succulents, which seem to decorate the facades of houses everywhere.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal
