Writers' looks upon Union Square
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Julie Galand
I was reading in a bookstore's café in New York, when I suddenly felt that "someone" was staring at me. Then I saw the silent and friendly face of a famous writer painted on the wall, with a magical view of Union Square in the background. The more enigmatic man on the left looks like Kafka. As no one could see those reflections from another angle, the poeple around might have thought I was a crazy person, taking pictures of the windows with a great enthusiasm and smiling mysteriously at the twilight sky.
Location: Union Square, Manhattan, New york, USA
