It was a beautiful day at the luxurious Cocoa Beach, Maldives: blue sky, white puffy clouds, calm Indian Ocean waters. However,on this day, the heat reflected off the pure white sand was intense, possibly 15 degrees Fahrenheit greater than the atmospheric 98 degrees. The sand was too hot to walk on for more than a few minutes. I felt that a black and white picture would convey the intense heat, the pure white sand and white puffy clouds more effectively.
