The Hanuman langur is considered sacred to the Hindus in India and it is not uncommon to see a langur in the company of sadhus (holy men in saffron). It was fascinating to see this adult langur with its child holding on to it. Someone offered it a banana and while the mother peeled it and started to eat, the young one looked very longingly at its mother eating the banana and it made for many interesting photographs like the one out here. This was shot near the entry to the Ram Jhula, a suspension bridge across the river Ganges in Rishikesh

Location: Rishikesh, near Ram Jhula, India
