Twilight Hula Hooper

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Tim Young

While enjoying a forest gathering in Washington state, this girl got out her lighted hula hoop at twilight. I was lucky to capture this photo before she put the hula hoop in motion. The natural lighting was also perfect to capture the flowing river, the mist over the meadow, and the rising forest against the still blue sky. I was just in the right place at the right time.

Location: Skookum Meadow, Washington State, July 2011
