Sunrise fishing with Mr. Mhaad

In July 2011 I volunteered in a tiny fishing village in the South of Thailand. One early morning, my home-stay father Mr. Mhaad had awoken me and in few words asked if I would like to help him collect the fishing nets. This particular photo was shot on our way back to the village as the sun was rising, the light graced Mr. Mhaad's face and caught the peaceful essence of the sea and mountains in the distance. I brought my DSLR camera on the trip, however this spontaneous photo was taken with my point and shoot camera and ended up one of my favorites.

Location: Bang Pat, Phang Nga Province
