Cape Coast Fishing

I went to Ghana for the first time last July to visit my girlfriend, a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. In Cape Coast, a city on the Atlantic Ocean, we visited Cape Coast Castle, a World Heritage Site. Roaming along the castle wall as I sought to capture the unique feel of the city, we found ourselves on an apparently closed section of wall. Our wandering brought us good luck! There, looking through an old cannon port in the wall, we were presented with a breathtaking view of the shoreline, fishermen busily preparing their nets amid a sea of colored boats and flags. I found my shot.

Location: Cape Coast, Central Region, Ghana
