Days of Sadness and Joy

Rabbi and political activist Howshua Amariel in Arad, Israel on 6/17/2012 to say farewell to the first wave of S. Sudanese to be deported from the city. Rabbi Amariel has been a long time activist for the rights of the Black Hebrews in Israel and has an intimate relationship with these refugees since they began arriving seven years again. The day was filled with both tears as miles would now seperate not only friends and families but also children from the only home they'd ever known. There however was also great joy as people who left a war torn region were now safe to return to their homes.

Location: Arad, Israel
