Samburu Giraffe

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Lisa McGuinness

As we drove through the plains of Samburu, we spotted this lone giraffe walking towards us. We stopped our vehicle and waited as it walked in front of our Land Rover. It took no notice of us and kept on walking purposefully to wherever it was going. It was so silent as it moved that we were amazed.

Location: Samburu National Park, Kenya
