THE CANADIAN INDIAN (CANADA, BRITISH-COLUMBIA, PAVILION)

I met this proud Indian in an isolated mountain path at a First Nations Reserve (Reserve for Indian tribes) in northern British Columbia in Canada. He was riding a beautiful horse, that he had captured from the wild, and was trying to halter break it. Despite his rough and rather terrifying appearance he was a very polite and helpful man. Although he did not have any kind of conventional education – he didn’t even know the existence of Greece and other European countries – he had a primitive wisdom and a very well based conception about his nation and people.
