Namaskar: I Bow to You

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Fausto Aarya De Santis

In the world of forward motion, where time is understood as productivity and bought in the form of watches, the art of communicating the joy and respect for the presence of another person is as strange as a stranger. The joy of greeting is becoming the haze of a slow shutter. You need to be a little crazy, bizarre, off beat, peculiar and spontaneous. That little magic that makes the congested cheeks and lips to spontaneously form a smile is fading, but not yet lost... some are still ready to share the joy and greet unknown passer byes.

Location: Varanasi, India
