River crossing

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Doris Wu

After spending close to 3 months in the Congo basin, I left via motorbike on dirt roads through the trees. We came across a wide but shallow river and had to hire pirogues to get us across before continuing on. The journey took 3 days.

Location: Congo Basin, Democratic Republic of Congo
