The trance of a thousand bells rung together, has the power to wake the spirit of a heavenly body created by all the living beings involved in the ceremony. One such temple, is Golu Devta's (an avatar of Lord Shiva) in the lower himalayan ranges. On accomplishment of the devotee's wish, the deity is shown gratitude by hanging bells.

Location: Gorakhal, Nainital
