My husband, Doug and daughter, Jamie and I took our newly-adopted niece (cousin), Asha to Australia with us for a three week, whirlwind trip! Asha and Jamie graduated from high school in May and this was their gift. Asha had basically been abandoned by her parents for the last few years. Once Asha turned 18, my sister legally adopted Asha in January 2012. Our family is very close knit and we wanted to share our experiences with Asha since she has never had many positive experiences herself. This photo is of Asha at Kata Tjuta after hiking for three hours on a very windy day!
