Table manners in Africa

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Jack Hochfeld

One moment the lions were sleeping in the late afternoon sun and barely moving, the next they were stalking and running and had taken down a baby wildebeest. By the time we caught up to the lions the sun was setting and I took the photo without a flash. The dinner wasn't enough to feed the entire pride. The strength and speed of the lions was awesome to witness.

Location: Exeter Lodge, Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga, South Africa
