Gentle Smile

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Pat Dignacco

There is so much to take in while walking through Havana. The Cuban people are warm and welcoming. As I was walking down one street I saw a woman leaning on her balcony watching the world go buy. I took a photo from a distance and noticed she had a very stern look on her face. As I got closer I asked her if I could take her photo. Her expression changed immediately to one of gentleness and warmth and I felt her eyes were smiling into the lens.

Location: Havana, Cuba
