Havana Portrait

Category: Travel Portraits

Photo and caption by Pat Dignacco

When walking through Havana it's very easy to get the typical photos of the women with the huge cigars and others who will pose for a small amount of money. My preference is to find the people who are just living their daily lives so that you can truly get the feel for the people who live there. This gentleman was sitting along a main street in Havana and was very kind to let me take his photograph. I think it shows a man who has lived a life that may not have been very easy but he did look content. He did not smile for the photo but did afterward. I think the photo was better this way.

Location: Havana, Cuba
