Badwater and Beyond
Category: Sense of Place
Photo and caption by Julia Tennant
Looking down into Death Valley from the Dante's View overlook, a travel camper winds along the lonely road of Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the western hemisphere at 282' below sea level. The basin's salt flats blend together with the lower edge of the Amargosa Mountains to create an otherwordly appearance.
Location: Death Valley, California
