As I was climing Mt. Elbert in Colorado, I was getting light headed & dizzy so I sat down on a rock & reached into my pocket for a few almonds. This chipmunk came up to me & without thinking I started talking to him & held out an almond to him - he walked right up to me & grabbed the almond out of my fingers with his little paws, he sat on the rock next to me eating it - as if he knew I need a friend for awhile.
