Evening prayer or aarti performed by these young monks is a ceremony dating back many centuries. It is carried out at the ghats on the shores of the river Ganges to give thanks to mother Ganges for all that she has provided. It touches all the senses with colour, incense, chanting and is a spiritual and moving experience.

Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India
