Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Kenneth Heyman

Walking the back streets of Ushuaia I discovered a wall of graffiti that spoke of Argentina’s Dirty War and the "disappeared", a euphemism for kidnapped and murdered leftist opponents to the country's brutal 1976-1983 dictatorship . As I raised my camera, a local man stepped into the frame.

Location: Ushuaia, Argentina
