Photo and caption by Jennifer Neczypor

These adorable local girls from the vibrant volcanic island of Tanna are dressed in traditional grass skirts, fresh flowers, woven leaves, and face paint made from crushed dyes, preparing to dance in celebration of the village boys' successful completion of the custom circumcision ceremony and prior isolation from the rest of the community.

Location: Tanna Island, Vanuatu, South Pacific
